48V 100Ah Powerwall — IMP-LW-05B

The 5.12kWh wall unit: 51.2V 100Ah in a 145mm-deep cabinet, 100A continuous discharge, and a 15-module parallel ceiling for walls that grow.

The IMP-LW-05B is the entry powerwall, and its datasheet reads like a checklist of what the category should publish: 51.2V nominal, 100Ah, 5.12kWh; charge voltage 58.4V and discharge cut-off 43V; standard currents of 20A charge and 50A discharge with 100A continuous available in both directions; 6,000 cycles or more at 80% depth of discharge; and operating windows of 0–55°C charging and −20–65°C discharging.

At 615 × 420 × 145mm and about 52kg, it mounts where a boiler or a distribution board would — utility rooms, garages, hallways — without consuming floor space or demanding a plant room. Up to 15 modules parallel on the same bus, so the wall can start at 5.12kWh and finish at over 75kWh without a format change. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and a heater are published options; communication is RS232, RS485 or CAN.

For installers this is the unit that standardises a residential offer: one mounting pattern, one datasheet, one expansion story. For distributors it is the SKU that answers the single-battery brief, with the 200Ah sister model covering the double-capacity brief in the same cabinet language and the same 145mm depth.

Why It Earns Its Place

Features

Complete published datasheet

Currents, cut-offs, temperatures and parallel rules all printed — the tender file writes itself.

100A in both directions

Fast recharge between outages and real load capability, not the 50A ceiling common at this size.

Expansion to 15 modules

The parallel ceiling turns a starter wall into a whole-home store without replacing the first unit.

Cold-climate options

Heater option plus a −20°C discharge floor for unheated garages and outbuildings.

The 05B or the 10B?

Same depth, same mounting logic, double the energy: the 200Ah IMP-LW-10B suits homes whose nightly load or backup list is already known to exceed 5kWh. The 05B suits phased projects and smaller homes — and because both parallel to 15, a mixed wall of matched units can be specified at quote stage. Send the load list; the recommendation comes back in writing with the arithmetic shown.

Ordering & OEM

How ordering works

Minimum order quantities and lead times depend on the product type and the degree of customisation: standard products can start from smaller batches, while custom housings, labelling and packaging are assessed per project. Samples can be arranged, with sample and freight costs confirmed against the requirement. Every enquiry is answered with a written specification and quote stating the model, configuration and terms - nothing about an order here is left to chat messages.

Improve Battery runs OEM/ODM alongside its standard range, and ships with the export documentation each model carries (CE, RoHS, FCC, MSDS, UN38.3 types as listed per datasheet; certificates available upon request). State the model, voltage, quantity and destination in the enquiry form and the sales team in Shenzhen will reply with the full specification.

Questions

Frequently asked

What loads can 5.12kWh cover?

A typical essentials set — fridge, lighting, network, water pump, device charging — through a long evening outage. The home backup application page works the numbers load by load.

Can it be floor-standing instead of wall-mounted?

It is designed as a wall unit. For floor installations, the stackable brick range is the right format on the same platform.

Which monitoring options exist?

Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are published options, alongside RS485/CAN for inverter communication. State the monitoring requirement in the enquiry.
