Stackable Battery Systems

Two module sizes — 5.12kWh and 10.24kWh — stack into systems from a single brick to 30kWh residences and small commercial stores, with a 5kW pure sine wave inverter stage on the system models.

The stackable range exists for one reason: capacity decisions change. A household that needs 10kWh today adds an EV next year; a small business starts with backup for the office and extends to the workshop. Stackable modules let the system follow the load — each brick is a complete 51.2V LiFePO4 unit with its own protection, and systems parallel one to six units in single or three phase.

Two bricks anchor the range. The 100Ah brick carries 5.12kWh in a 666 × 516 × 441mm enclosure at about 90kg; the 200Ah brick carries 10.24kWh at 600 × 500 × 619mm and about 140kg. Both are rated at 6,000 cycles or more at 80% depth of discharge, communicate over RS232, RS485 or CAN, and — in the published system configuration — work with a 5kW inverter stage: 120Vac single-phase output, 10ms switch time, a 5,500W PV input window and MPPT tracking efficiency of 99.9%.

Because the modules are the same ones used across the residential line, spares, expansion units and documentation stay consistent over the life of an installation. Order the second brick three years later and it is the same module, the same footprint and the same communication protocol.

Why It Earns Its Place

Features

Capacity that follows the load

Start with one brick and add modules — no forklift swap of the whole system when the household or the business grows.

Published inverter data

Rated output, PV window, bypass current and efficiency are printed in the datasheet, so system designers can sign off the pairing before purchase.

Heavy, honest enclosures

A 10.24kWh brick at roughly 140kg is steel and cells, not plastic optimism — floor-standing stacks rated for real plant rooms.

Three-phase ready

Parallel configurations cover single and three-phase outputs for mixed residential and light commercial sites.

Stackable vs wall-mounted

Choose the stack when capacity will grow or when the installation is a garage, basement or plant room with floor space. Choose the wall-mounted powerwall when the room is finished living space and depth matters more than expansion. Both formats share cycle life, communication buses and the 51.2V platform — the difference is mechanical, not chemical. Installers who standardise on one factory for both formats simplify spares: one module family covers the wall job and the floor job.

Ordering & OEM

How ordering works

Minimum order quantities and lead times depend on the product type and the degree of customisation: standard products can start from smaller batches, while custom housings, labelling and packaging are assessed per project. Samples can be arranged, with sample and freight costs confirmed against the requirement. Every enquiry is answered with a written specification and quote stating the model, configuration and terms - nothing about an order here is left to chat messages.

Improve Battery runs OEM/ODM alongside its standard range, and ships with the export documentation each model carries (CE, RoHS, FCC, MSDS, UN38.3 types as listed per datasheet; certificates available upon request). State the model, voltage, quantity and destination in the enquiry form and the sales team in Shenzhen will reply with the full specification.

Questions

Frequently asked

How many bricks can I stack?

The published system configuration parallels 1–6 units. Larger stores are built by paralleling stacks or moving to the rack and high-voltage ranges — tell us the target kWh and we specify the architecture in the quote.

Does the system include the inverter?

System models publish full inverter output data (5kW, 120Vac). Battery-only configurations are also supplied for installers pairing their own hybrid inverter over CAN or RS485. State which you need in the enquiry.

What temperatures can it run at?

Charging 0°C to +45°C and discharging −20°C to +55°C on the stackable system datasheet; storage −10°C to +45°C. Optional heating is available on other formats in the range for cold-climate installs.
