High Voltage Battery Systems

Two high-voltage families: stackable HS systems from 5.12kWh at up to 400V, and rack HR systems that scale past 200kWh — the commercial end of the same LiFePO4 line.

High voltage is an efficiency decision. At 300–400V, the same energy moves at a fraction of the current of a 51.2V system, which means smaller conductors, lower losses and PCS equipment running in its efficient band. Improve Battery's high-voltage catalogue has two shapes: the HS stackable families for commercial and large residential systems from 5.12kWh upward, and the HR rack families for battery rooms from 30.72kWh to 217.04kWh.

The HS-A series works at a nominal 400Vdc (330–450V operating window) with 5.12kWh building blocks and IP65 protection. The HS A-S, HS B and HS C families stack 51.2V or 76.8V modules into 153.6V, 204.8V and 384V systems of 15.36kWh, 14.74kWh and 38.40kWh in their published configurations. The HR rack systems take over above that: HR-A from 30.72kWh, HR-B from 62.97kWh and HR-C from 96.46kWh, each with published expansion ceilings and PCS/RS485 communication.

Every high-voltage model in this catalogue carries the same 6,000-cycle floor at 80% DOD, and every one is documented with charge and discharge windows, temperature ranges and communication ports in its datasheet. Commercial buyers get engineering data, not brochure adjectives.

Why It Earns Its Place

Features

Two architectures, one chemistry

Stackable HS for distributed commercial installs; rack HR for central battery rooms. Same LiFePO4 platform, same cycle rating.

Published voltage windows

Nominal and operating ranges, charge voltages and cut-offs are printed per family — PCS pairing can be engineered on paper first.

IEC 62619 on the HS-A

The 400V HS-A family lists IEC 62619 among its published certifications — the industrial battery safety standard commercial tenders ask for.

Scale without redesign

Families overlap in capacity, so a 40kWh project and a 200kWh project stay inside one supplier's documentation system.

Specifying a high-voltage project

Bring three numbers to the enquiry: the energy target (kWh), the power target (kW, charge and discharge), and the PCS or inverter family you intend to pair. With those, the factory quote fixes the family (HS or HR), the module count, the voltage window and the communication configuration. Guessing at high voltage is expensive; the written specification is where this catalogue insists the decision happens.

Ordering & OEM

How ordering works

Minimum order quantities and lead times depend on the product type and the degree of customisation: standard products can start from smaller batches, while custom housings, labelling and packaging are assessed per project. Samples can be arranged, with sample and freight costs confirmed against the requirement. Every enquiry is answered with a written specification and quote stating the model, configuration and terms - nothing about an order here is left to chat messages.

Improve Battery runs OEM/ODM alongside its standard range, and ships with the export documentation each model carries (CE, RoHS, FCC, MSDS, UN38.3 types as listed per datasheet; certificates available upon request). State the model, voltage, quantity and destination in the enquiry form and the sales team in Shenzhen will reply with the full specification.

Questions

Frequently asked

When should I choose high voltage over 51.2V rack?

Above roughly 30kWh, or whenever the PCS is a high-voltage model. Below that, the low-voltage rack line is simpler and cheaper per install. The quote will state the recommended platform for your load.

Are the HS systems weather-protected?

The HS-A family is rated IP65. Other families publish their ratings per model — ask for the specific datasheet in the enquiry.

What documentation comes with a commercial order?

Datasheets, communication protocol information and the certification documents for the ordered models. Certificates are available upon request at quotation stage.
