RV LiFePO4 Battery

Five deep-capacity builds for motorhomes, caravans and camper vans — 12.8V at 230Ah to 640Ah and a 25.6V 320Ah — every one rated at 8,000 cycles and documented down to its connection limits.

RV power is a weight problem and a patience problem. The weight: this range stores up to 8.19kWh in a 59.6kg case — energy that would take several times the mass in lead-acid. The patience: at an 8,000-cycle rating (80% DOD, 25°C), these are batteries you install once and stop thinking about, season after season of nightly cycling.

The 12.8V line runs 230Ah (2.94kWh, 23.8kg), 320Ah (4.09kWh, 31.9kg), 540Ah (6.91kWh, 47.7kg) and 640Ah (8.19kWh, 59.6kg). All charge at 14.6V, cut off at 10.4V, communicate over RS485 or CAN, and support up to four units in series or parallel — with the published caveat that in communication mode, series strings are limited to two. Maximum charge and discharge currents run from 250A on the smaller cases to 300A on the 540Ah and 640Ah builds, with 600A short peaks on the two largest. The 25.6V IMP-RV24-320 serves 24V motorhome systems at 8.19kWh with a 15-unit parallel ceiling and IP54 protection.

Discharge runs down to −25°C across the range — the cold-morning figure that matters for winter touring — and every model's dimensions and weight are on its product page, because in an RV the battery locker decides what fits long before the budget does.

Why It Earns Its Place

Features

8,000-cycle rating

The RV line carries the highest cycle rating in the catalogue — nightly deep cycling is the design case, not the exception.

Energy without the mass penalty

8.19kWh at under 60kg protects payload margins that lead-acid banks would consume several times over.

Cold-rated discharge

−25°C discharge across the range for winter touring and alpine stops, with charging from 0°C.

Connection rules in print

Series and parallel limits — including the communication-mode caveat — are published per model, so system designers are not guessing.

Sizing an RV bank

Work from the nightly load: refrigeration, heating fans, lighting, water pump, device charging and the inverter's own draw. A 320Ah 12.8V bank (4.09kWh) covers most couples' touring nights with reserve; full-time and winter users step to 540Ah or 640Ah, or pair units in parallel within the published limits. The product pages carry the full datasheets; the enquiry route gets you a factory check of the bank you have in mind against the loads you list.

Ordering & OEM

How ordering works

Minimum order quantities and lead times depend on the product type and the degree of customisation: standard products can start from smaller batches, while custom housings, labelling and packaging are assessed per project. Samples can be arranged, with sample and freight costs confirmed against the requirement. Every enquiry is answered with a written specification and quote stating the model, configuration and terms - nothing about an order here is left to chat messages.

Improve Battery runs OEM/ODM alongside its standard range, and ships with the export documentation each model carries (CE, RoHS, FCC, MSDS, UN38.3 types as listed per datasheet; certificates available upon request). State the model, voltage, quantity and destination in the enquiry form and the sales team in Shenzhen will reply with the full specification.

Questions

Frequently asked

Can I run two 12V units in parallel for more capacity?

Yes — up to four in series or parallel on the 12V line. Note the published rule: in communication mode, series connection is limited to two units.

Will it work with my motorhome's split-charge and solar setup?

Charge voltage is 14.6V, the standard LiFePO4 profile. Chargers and DC-DC units must be set to a lithium profile — the charging guide on this site covers the settings in detail.

How does it handle winter?

Discharge is rated to −25°C; charging starts at 0°C. For vehicles stored unheated, the storage window is 0–35°C on the RV datasheets.
